High Tensile Steel Frame

Constructed with high quality steel, the fully welded frame can withstand the shocks and stresses of working in the most difficult conditions. The frames’ construction reduces the overall weight whilst maintaining operational performance.

Central and Lateral Driveline Seals

The driveline seals used on Alpego rotary cultivators are lubricated by the oil inside the transmission to reduce wear and improve longevity whilst preventing dust and water ingress. The sealing system even allows the machines to be used submerged in paddy fields.

Unique Central-Drive System

The central drive transmission has a number of advantages. Primarily torque loadings are transferred equally to either side of the machine, reducing strains and stresses on the entire driveline, improving reliability and reducing power consumption.

In addition, by having four support bearings for the rotor, rather than two, the opportunity for shaft flex under load is drastically reduced.

Without a transfer casing on one end of the machine, the working widths of Alpego rotovators are equal to their transport width. This means they can run right up against fences and other obstacles in either direction of travel.

Having a centralised drive line also avoids uneven weight distribution left-to-right, helping to ensure a consistent working depth across the width of the machine.

The Alpego range of Rotary Cultivators offer the highest performance for farmers and contractors looking for long-lasting professional machines. 

All models are equipped with the unique central-drive transmission.

COUNTER FLANGES

The blades are sandwiched between the welded rotor flange and an additional counter flange, this ensures rigidity and doubles the strength of the assembly allowing machines to work in the most arduous conditions.

Counter flanges are standard on all Rotozappa Rotary Cultivators excluding the FB model, where they are an option. 

ADJUSTABLE REAR HOOD

The adjustable S shaped rear hood allows the machine to be set to provide the perfect finish. It is fitted with four pressure release springs to allow it to release any stones or foreign objects before they cause damage to the machine. A hydraulic rear hood is standard on skids version.

GEARBOX

The central transmission is driven by a high precision gearbox with gear change to allow rotor speeds up to 424rpm which can easily be changed to suit the job in hand. The gearbox casing allows excellent oil flow to ensure efficient heat dissipation.

Based on the rotary cultivator design, INVERSA models are equipped with a longer frame, reverse rotation rotor and sorting tines which ensure stones and residue fall to the bottom and fine soil is left on the surface. 

Whilst cultivating relatively shallow the INVERSA leaves the ideal fine tilth on the surface for seed establishment and buries the stones.

REVERSE ROTATION ROTOR

The reverse rotation roller and adjustable spring loaded sorting tines ensure fine soil is left on the surface and stones are buried creating the perfect tilth.

The MATRIX modular tool carrier consists of a folding frame that combines two Alpego “Z” series Rotary Cultivators or Stone Buriers into a single wider machine.

Available for tractors up to 500hp and working widths up to 7m.

Driveline

A central gearbox transmitting power via twin PTO shafts fitted with wide angle universal joints to the remote 90-degree outer gearboxes.

Easy Release

Both rotary cultivators within the frame can be simply removed for use as independent standalone machines.

Main Frame

The 3-point linkage central frame hydraulically folds for transport. There is an automatic lock to ensure simple safe road transport. 

Independant Operation

Although on a fixed central frame both units are free to float independently, to follow ground contours.

Combinations

The MATRIX frame can be used in combination with the: FZ-300/360 Rotary Cultivator and the INVERSA IZ-300/360 Stone Burier models.
